Slow response causing H12 on Heroku

I was looking at my new relic external service graph trying to understand a few H12 Request timeouts and realized that calling to Exceptional.io is extremely slow sometimes (1s to sometimes 4s!)

I was wondering if we can move the exception logging to resque or background task so it doesn't keep the web dyno occupied. This is my frist few days of trial and the slow response is a huge concern to me. Hope to hear your thoughts.

    Hi Dafeng,

Wow, thank you for bringing this to our attention.
The development team is working on reinforcing the exceptional api to make it more robust.
Would an asynchronous non-blocking method of sending a notice(from your app to the exceptional API) suit your needs better?
Get back to me and I will bring your response before the development team.

    From,
    Morgan

    Hi Morgan,

Yes, I am looking for a async method. I moved to Airbrake though because it
can log errors using resque. I think you guys should think about that too.
    Thanks!
