Ruby send_to config options not working

I am just learning the Exceptional ruby gem and I am having a couple of issues.

The first is that if I set enabled to false the rescue no longer works and my application errors out.

The next issue that I have is even if I set the sent_to option in the config file to stdout it always sends the error out to the api.

The final issue that I am having is that if I try to see what send_to is being set to by calling the Exceptional::Config.send_to I get an error that the method is not defined.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you,
Stefanie

My code looks something like this

def foo
    result = {}
    begin
        # do some code here
    rescue Exception => ex
        result = nil
        Exceptional.handle(ex, "Exception")
    end
    return result
end

    Hello,

    I apologize for the delayed response, were you still having issues getting this working?

    Could you provide the following:

    1. ruby/rails/exceptional notifier versions?
    2. how is the notifier being included?
    3. your gem list?

    Thanks!

    Thank you for getting back with me.

    I am still having this issue.

    We are using Ruby 2.0.0 p247 and Exceptional 2.0.33. I am currently
    testing this in rspec tests in a gem I will be adding to a Rails 4.0.0 app.
    I am including the config file for exceptional when I am running the rspec tests, as the errors are being sent to the system.

    I am using the exception handling like this

    def foo
        result = {}
        begin
            # do some code here
        rescue Exception => ex
            result = nil
            Exceptional.handle(ex, "Exception")
        end
        return result
    end

    I have attached a version of my Gemfile.lock file with a our custom gems
    removed.

    Any help you can give would be great.

    Thank you,
    Stefanie

    Hello,

    Its possible the gem could be running into rails 4 issues since it hasn't been officially updated that it is supported. Were you still having these issues?
