Timestamps and Message Length

Hi Exceptional Team,

We're a new customer and very happy with your great product! Two feature suggestions:

  1. The "name" field has a limit of 256 characters, which we sometimes go over (we're verbose). We've taken to also adding the messages in a redundant :message=> parameter to get around this limit. Any chance the name field length could be increased?

  2. Timestamps only have minute resolution and are GMT. Any change to increase the resolution and add maybe even local timezone support? We've taken to adding our own timestamps to the optional parameters on each request for this.

Neither request is a show stopper, and the optional params give us a great workaround. Just seems silly to have to send & store so much redundant data.

Thanks, and keep up the great work!

    Hi Ben,

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. We have been working flat out on some scaling issues for the past week.

I'm afraid we are stuck with the 256 character limit on the name field, so you will need to continue using a message parameter.

If you mouseover the 'X minutes ago' text you should see an exact timestamp. I know this is not ideal but it's difficult for us to fit in a longer timestamp into the current UI.

I'll investigate your timezone issue. It certainly used to work.

    Best regards,
    Ciaran Lee

Thanks for the reply. Certainly not urgent compared to getting the
    scaling issues sorted out.

    Hi Benjamin,

Just following up on this ticket. Have you tried setting your local timezone in your 'Account Settings'. That should resolve the timestamps into your local timezone.

Let me know if thats resolves the timezone part of this ticket for you ?
