First, I want to say that I really like exceptional. I recently switched from hoptoad and I love the interface. It's been great.

That said, I had a few suggestions that I miss:

  1. We don't get notified of exceptions until a while after they happen. Sometimes 30 minutes or more after the fact. We'd like to get notified as soon as possible so we can correct the issue and push out a fix. Especially if its a critical error. 30 minutes seems way too long. Is there anyway to get notified as they happen? I know in hoptoad I was notified instantly, but didn't get expanded details until after the error was processed. But they gave me enough to fix it.

  2. The campfire integration does not seem to be working. When I set it up, we got the test message, but haven't got a message since.

Again, great app, just those couple of things for me that keep it from being perfect. Thanks.

    Hi Ben,

We are so glad to have you on board, I'm sorry that you have had some problems.

    1. We had an issue yesterday which caused the exception queue to back up, and processing time went up (actually far higher than 30 minutes). We swapped out a database shard and the processing time is back to < 5 seconds, which is typical.

    2. The Campfire notifications were affected by the same issue, so it may be that they arrived, just late. Can you check this? If not I'll investigate further.

I'm sorry for the delays in processing exceptions.

    Kind regards,
    Ciaran Lee

Yea I stopped getting email notifications since before this backed up queue issue. And I'm still not getting any.
